Summer Wars

   Anime Movie Suggestion -
  Summer Wars
Directed by Mamoru Hosoda
(this is also in the 'Top Manga' section because indeed, you can read the manga if you prefer!)

An extremely popular online world hold the personal information of millions of powerful people around the world. When a young math genius receives a message in the middle of the night, he solves the complex equation out of habit. Not knowing he just placed a virtual
worlds' artificial intelligence entity in a position to destroy the Earth along with all of the people he knows and loves.

Personal Review: Alright, I will start right off the bat and say that if you're thinking this anime is about a random teenage guy who gets a girl through a video game, you're wrong. If you think all these people in this picture are related to each other and waste their life on a stupid game too, you're wrong(mostly). But, if you think that this girl asks this guy to act as her boyfriend for her grandmother's approval and the trip ends up a disaster waiting to happen, you've won 5,000 Otaku Points!
I remember when I watched this for the first time, there was a power outage because of a storm in like the first third of the anime and I was really sad because I had to wait until like midnight to finish it (Just kidding it was for like 2 hours). When I got back to it, I was highly satisfied by the time it ended. THe art is extremely fitting in my opinion. Not to mention it has a really creative plot while including gaming in the characters lives, without having you stare at a screen in a screen the entire time. However, this may depend on what kind of interactions between the anime characters you prefer, but you have to know that I am OBSESSED with very romantic anime. You don't even have to be as obsessed as I am with lovey-dovey anime to understand where I'm coming from. First of all, on the matter of family problems, the portrayal is fairly realistic. Thankfully, not just your typical scenario that usually goes like this:
Character #1: "I'm really sorry, I did something so terrible as to eat your food without your permission. I should've known better and I will never do it again I promise!"
*(imagine this as a more drastic situation if this is not crazy enough for you; just trying to keep it appropriate for my younger readers out there)*
Character #2: Oh I forgive you just please don't leave again. I love you! ~Nya!"
Me: AHH SHUT UP AND SLAP HIM OR I WILL THROW MY PHONE AT THE WALL BECAUSE YOU ARE ALWAYS LETTING YOUR INNOCENT GIRLY KAWAII-DESU SELF GET PULLED AROUND BY ALL THESE SMELLY PIG-HEADED GUYS BECAUSE YOU CANT EVEN FREAKING THINK OF WHAT THE LOGICAL REACTION IS!!
*ahem; clears throat*
But, don't worry, if you hate that as well, I will show you what a character in this anime would probably do…:
[NEW] Character #2: "Don't show your face here ever again unless you can prove to me that I can trust you once more. Cheating on me with my best friend? Come on. You make me embarrassed to be around you now you @#$%!"
LOL, that's much better right? Now of course I know that it'll get boring if it is always like that but I also know a mixture would be the better for the anime community as well. So listen close! You better go watch this now so I can stop making painfully long reviews. Which by the way yes I did notice this one is not very detailed? Well too bad, deal with it. 0-0

Natsu No Zenjitsu

     Manga Suggestion - #MRR
   Natsu no Zenjitsu

Tetsuo's mind is brainwashed by art. It's all he thinks about. After all it is hard to forget about the beauty, meaning, and nature of the creation of art. The story changes as a woman named Akira starts watching him as he draws everyday, overseeing the progress and completion of his art. Akira finds interest in Tetsuo's passion put into his jobs and art. On a late rainy night, he notices that Akira left her umbrella in the building and decides to return it to her. He finds her and gives her the umbrella, soaked because he didn't use the umbrella since it doesn't belong to him. When Tetsuo decides he has done what he needed to, he starts to leave, but Akira says to wait. In a split moment, he turns back around to find Akira leaning in for a kiss. Finally, love is in the air for this new couple full of opposing and similar personalities and adventures.

Magikano

Anime Suggestion - Magikano

Manga by Takeaki Momose

Description:
Ayumi Mamiya is a witch cursed to lose her powers but there is one boy who can break the spell and save her. Haruo Yoshikawa thinks he is a normal boy but unknown to him; his three sisters are witches who use their magical powers to keep him protected and ignorant about the existence of magic. Now Ayumi must wake up Haruo's powers and save herself but his sisters are guarding him 24/7 with their lives.

Personal Review
After watching this new anime, I started to think about how glad I am for the weird humor. I'm sure you may be uneasy about the characters at first but sooner or later you'll look at them as your own siblings(that is if you are an anime otaku like me).
For example, this series you could say has a bit of Harem to it, calling attention to the scenes where the main character's sisters are obsessed with him and won't let the new girl make a move on him. XD
The plot is a fragile yet interestingly clever one. Every moment provides you with a minor conflict to laugh at, a brand new quest to follow, or flashbacks into the main characters past which shows her true objective.
If I were to compare this to another anime, that would most likely be Rosario + Vampire. Only because the relationship between the main female and male character are both worried about their future relationship. Due to the fact that one person came here for a strict goal and realizes how kind and developed or perfect their target is. This eventually messes up the relationship somehow and is later patched up.
For example: in Rosario + Vampire, Tskune is attempting to enroll in a special school that is in a very isolated location. Later realizing it is a school reserved for monsters, he tries to leave before he develops more feelings for the girl he likes; Moka.
#2: In this anime, Ayumi Mamiya has transported to where Haruo Yoshikawa lives and is enrolling in the school he goes to. Because somehow he is the only one that can save her from her curse. So, she secretly has to get close to him and unlock his powers that he doesn't know exist. However, he can't find out because if he does, he'll destroy all of humanity!
Lastly, something I want to say is that I really felt dumbfounded when I found out that memories have been repeated for the characters just to save the earth because the only way the demon king can be contained is through time constraint. Sad right? That means nobody would ever grow old, die, experience new memories, or anything! Because the stupid demon king is so dang powerful that the people who have powers constantly have to rewind time, to stop his awakening. Even worse, this means that Ayumi Mamiya will never have her curse lifted!

Genres: Romance, Comedy, Harem, Supernatural, Magical girl.

Recommended Audience: In my opinion, this show should not be suggested for underaged pre-teens in consideration of very little inappropriate humor.
